Skog Finsk Museum

Working in collaboration with SQ-1 and Urgent Agency of Copenhagen, we entered the  Skogfinsk Museum open competition.

Our proposal was a rethink of the of the traditional Finnish “rya” house,   stretched and arranged in a relaxed centrifugal composition. We propose a charred wood facade to remind of the Forest Finns’ cultural connection with fire and smoke and heating was to be provided by a biomass fed heat network. Harvesting of snow and rainwater would provide further sustainable credentials.
